GENERAL INFORMATION:
Ballito Microlights offers scenic flights over the Dolphin Coast and North Coast, covering the Ballito Coastline up to Princes Grant (depending on flight selection). This allows for frequent sightings of dolphins, whales, turtles and other forms of sea life, in addition to the glorious views afforded during a flight.
Ballito Microlights is the only fully certified and licenced scenic microlight operation in Ballito and KZN as a whole.
FLIGHT TIMES:
The best time to fly microlights is during the morning before the wind speed increases along the coastline. This allows for smoother and more beautiful flying conditions.
Flying microlights is heavily dependant on the weather and whilst we will do our utmost to ensure that we are communicating ahead of time regarding flights, we ask that you understand that sometimes flights need to be rescheduled or cancelled. This can even happen on the day of the flight or when you are ready to go. We do apologise if this occurs but we need to ensure safety is the priority, and sometimes the forecasts don’t turn into reality! Similarly, we will try arrange joint/formation flights where possible, but cannot guarantee this as there are numerous factors that influence this.
BOOKING PROCEDURES:
In order to make your booking, we request that you contact us via WhatsApp 24 – 48 Hours ahead of when you wish to fly. This will allow us to advise availability based on the weather forecast. Please be patient as we will not always be able to respond immediately.
